Picnic Table

We decided to remove a small tree that was crowding our house. As I started cutting off the limbs, it occurred to me that the remaining stump would make a great base for a picnic table. Sadly, the stump was not in a good place for a table, so I had to move it. It was difficult, but I managed to invent a scheme that worked using a come-along and several levers. Once in place I designed a table top, built it from cedar, and attached it to the base. The project was finished just in time for our wedding in the summer of 2014!
